Attack on Titan: What Could’ve Been

An Exclusive Night Club

DOOF DOOF DOOF

Basement night clubs are so hip and happening, we’re sure Grisha, being the hip and happening dude he was, would’ve been super keen on the idea of owning a thumping night club. The coolest artists around would be playing there, and it wouldn’t be rare to spot a celebrity or two. Not only would it be the hippest joint around, but only Very Important People would be able to get in. Your name isn’t on the list? Too bad, loser!

A Maid Cafe

In an alternate universe, this is canon.

Descend down the stairs and… Welcome, Master! What’s more calming in these trying times than having a cute maid serve you delicious food and drinks? We can see the Scouts coming here to unwind after a hard day, excited to receive their daily dose of Moe Moe Kyu~n. And because AOT is set in a Germanesque world, maybe they’d have special Oktoberfest celebrations too. Prost!

Grisha’s Collection of Anime Merch

“Son, some things are just better left unknown.”

This is where Grisha stored his extensive collection of anime figurines, after Carla complained about every nook and cranny of the house being filled with a different toy of a sexy girl. It had reached the point where you could hardly walk across the floor, in case you accidentally stepped on one of Grisha’s waifus, and the house was covered in so many posters that Carla had forgotten what colour the walls actually were.

IKEA

This is what happens when IKEA has a sale on.

Everyone needs furniture, and where else to get them than IKEA? From beds to bookshelves, plants to pillows, IKEA has everything. The military probably kitted out all their buildings with IKEA goods, for that refined yet impersonal look, the matching furniture reminding you that you are the same as everyone else.

A Titan Cafe

Hange, obviously, is a regular.

Like a dog cafe or a cat cafe, this is a cafe where people can come and pat and feed cute little titans. The titans look so adorable while eating! Just don’t let them eat you!

What do you think could’ve – or SHOULD’VE – been in the basement? Let us know your thoughts!

How to Cook the Monster Cells from One Punch Man

Permalink - Posted on 2019-06-24 01:21

This YouTuber by the name of RICO has taken it upon himself to create the monstrous food using what we can only guess is a heart and animal tounges… We warn you though, its not for the faint of heart.

Since we neither understand the language or know how to cook, we are going to try to guess the process.

Step 1)
Get your animal heart and stab a small hole in it.

Step 2)
Using scissors that aren’t your cosplay friends fabric scissors, snip the white chunks off the tongue bits and into 1cm wide triangle bits.

Step 3)
Stuff the meaty strips into the heart holes to create the shape seen in One Punch Man.

Step 4)
What could either be a whole lot of chewed up gum, but is more likely to be caul fat, is then wrapped around the heart.

Step 5)
Cut holes in the lining to allow the tongue bits to poke through.

Step 6)
Season it to hell and back.

Step 7)
It’s time to bake it, baby!

Step 8)
While it’s roasting, take a big ol stick of butter and melt it in a shallow pan, once its all melted add some flour. Make sure you keep mixing it, so it doesn’t burn.

Step 9)
Take some beetroot powder and add it in for colour. While mixing, also add some milk.

Step 10)
Cheese. Lot’s of shredded cheese. Cheese fixes everything.

Step 11)
Once it’s nice and thick, pour it over that meaty bad boy and let it set.

Step 12)
Profit.

We have to say, it’s a pretty impressive recreation. And while we aren’t in a rush to eat it and become a monster – RICO has definitely done a great job. Be sure to check out his channel for more anime inspired cooking.

The Truth Behind The Titans Revealed

Permalink - Posted on 2019-06-20 05:59

Things really starting to heat up in the latest episodes of Attack on Titan! The remaining scouts have made it to Eren’s fathers basement, and we’re beginning to learn about the world of the Titans before Eren was born!

If you’ve been yearning to find out more about the people behind the various Titans, keep reading, as we’re about to discuss the latest happenings in the anime.

In this week’s episode, ‘That Day’ (Season 3, Episode 20), we’re fed a great deal of new information based on the memories of Eren’s father. We learn about The Restorationists, a secret organization within Marley who are seeking to overthrow the Marleyan regime and restore Eldia as a world power.

Their organisation didn’t last long though, as the beast boy/child of Grisha and Dina Yeager, Zeke Yeager, ratted them out to the Marleyan authorities. Talk about son of the year…

The Restorationists are punished by Marley authorities who force them to become Pure Titans.

The Smiling Titan AKA Dina Yeager.

The stepmother of Eren Yeager and member of the royal family, Dina, has a pretty rough story. She first appears in the anime as the Titan who kills Eren’s birth mother, Carla and ignites his rage to get revenge on the Titans.

In the recent episodes, it shows that Dina and her husband, Grisha, are core members of the Elida Restorationists. We see her becomes a Titan after their son, Zeke Yeager aka Beast Titan, betrays them to the Marleyan authority.

The Bearded Titan

Introducing the Titan who was closest to regaining his human form after eating Eren. If Eren had actually died inside the Bearded Titans stomach, the older man would have been the new Rogue Titan with the Coordinate power!!

The Jumping Titan

Best known for his big jumps. This is the Titan who catches Thomas Wagner off guard and swallows him whole in Season 1, Episode 5.

The Peering Titan

The Titan with a big ol head – and the one who very satisfyingly ate Sergeant Major Gross – the man (and sadistic monster) who fed Grisha’s little sister to his sons’ dogs and enjoyed watching the Titans eating humans for entertainment. The Peering titan is also responsible for killing Mina Carolina when it bites off her head in Season 1, Episode 5.

The Bigmouth Titan

One of the Titans who struck during the Battle of Trost District – killing Nac Tias and Mylius Zeramuski.

What Happens Next?

Now knowing that these Titans used to be humans seeking equality, it really makes you think back to the first series and feel empathy towards all involved. With so much juicy information being unravelled at the moment, it’s safe to say the next episode will be extremely exciting!

What have you loved most about the recent episodes? Let us know in the comments below.

Anime Fans are Saving Lives with the AnimeLab Blood Challenge!

Permalink - Posted on 2019-03-14 02:09

You may have heard by now that we have officially partnered with the Australian Red Cross to target a major gap in blood donations. Younger people account for the largest number of first-time donors in Australia, but the lowest number of return donors. That’s something we aim to change!

Kydrasaur cosplay and Adam are cosplaying from the beloved anime Cells at Work, alongside of Alyssea Nicole who is a kidney transplant survivor.

Yesterday some amazing everyday heroes came along in cosplay to show their support and roll up their sleeves, donating enough blood to save 12 lives. This event marks the start of a massive Australia wide drive were AnimeLab is aiming to see who can take out the ultimate title in the biggest challenge since Naruto vs Sasuke. This off-field battle needs you to pick your team and donate blood. Every time you donate your team will score a point. You’ll also save three lives with each blood donation.
